The housing and communal complex is the most important component in the life support system of all citizens, covers almost the entire population of our country and therefore occupies an exceptional position in a number of other sectors of the economy. As a research toolkit, general scientific methods of cognition were used, such as: observation, comparative analysis, grouping of data, generalization of theoretical and factual material. Theoretical generalizations and conclusions can be taken into account when using to further improve the audit and analysis of financial statements, will allow management to eliminate the inefficient use of economic resources such as labor, financial and material. The introduction of research results into domestic practice, in particular the methods of internal audit and analytical procedures, will determine the occurrence of risks at an early stage and improve the structure of control of water supply and sanitation organizations. In the information flow, there was a need for high-quality financial and management information on the activities of housing and utilities enterprises, according to which one could not only make management decisions for an enterprise, but also use its data for analysis in the industry complex as a whole.
