Abstract

The oil and gas sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan forms the main part of the state budget revenues, and also has an relevant significance in the development of state policy. At the same time, the main productive force of the industry is personnel policy and company personnel. The issue of staffing in the oil and gas industry is becoming problematic for companies in many countries. In modern conditions each enterprise is interested in competitive advantages. The article considers trends in the development of the world oil market, their impact on companies' staffing issues. This article presents Mercer Management Consulting’s study results, analyzes the factors affecting employee satisfaction and their significance. Measures to ensure financial well-being and personnel decisions are considered. In the course of the analysis, it was revealed that personnel decisions in the enterprise management system can occupy a strategic line. The authors determined that at present employers are focused on developing a motivation system for retaining successful personnel and developing staff. Using the experience of foreign companies will allow us to correctly formulate the personnel strategy of Kazakhstani companies. The article notes that earlier, motivated employees are more productive, and employee involvement correlates with motivation.
