Ecological and natural tourism of Kazakhstan as a proposal for German consumers

Abstract

The World Tourism Organization notes the growing popularity of natural and ecological tourism, defined as the most promising types of tourism in Kazakhstan. The article examines the reasons for increasing interest in ecological tourism, and considers the main motives for the growing interest in it. The authors give definitions of natural and ecological tourism, the differences between them are refined. The article describes the target group of ecotourism - the inhabitants of Germany, the characteristics of the types of tourists with the specification of their needs. The peculiarities of the development of the tourist market of Germany are noted, the account of which is necessary when positioning the Kazakhstan tourist services and forming loyalty to the Kazakhstan tourist offer. The authors have refined the main criteria that make it possible to quantify the sociodemographic characteristics of German eco-tourists. Based on official statistical data, as well as studies conducted by foreign scientists earlier, the authors calculated the market potential of ecological tourism in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as the forecast of tourist arrivals. On the real example of ecotourism organization in the Aktogay district of the Karaganda region, the authors examined the interaction of state, public and private structures dealing with tourism development, contributing to the acceleration of the process of the formation of inbound tourism.
